This Japanese restaurant is located on Market Street in San Francisco, close to City Hall and is in a good location. The restaurant is elegantly decorated and the layout of the store is also Japanese. The restaurants offer a variety of Japanese cuisines that are authentic, although the price is not cheap, but there are always more guests dining, often full.

Izakaya Roku

My friend is a vegetarian and we came here for lunch. I got the combo chicken meal and she got the vegetarian. Portions were large, lots of naan, and the food tasted very flavorful and good! The only downside is the very limited lunch menu.

Sushi or something still feels very Japanese, and some of the other ones are obvious European and American styles. A large pot of them is very enjoyable. GRILLED BRANDT BEEF SIRLOIN mixed taste.

We had amazing food - anything pork is killer and the hamachi carpaccio is delicious. They also have a namazake from the Bay Area that&#39;ll blow your mind!!

This was one of the restaurants recommended by our concierge. We tried the &quot;Incredible Sushi&quot; which has shrimp and asparagus, cooked tempura style, wrapped in a makizushi style and drizzled in some fantastic sauce - very unique dish. We also had some of their okonomiyaki - which was a bit different from what I would call traditional but nonetheless, it tasted great. Definitely on my list to go back when we visit SF again.

Having just come back from a 2 week trip to Japan and in SF for a weekend it was great to find this &quot;true to form&quot; izakaya. This place hit all the marks - small space, small plates to share while drinking beer or nihon shu(Japanese sake) and lots of conversation - only thing missing were the Japanese salarymen. Felt like I was Umeda or Dotombori all over again and I was able to whip out my limited Japanese language skills because most of the staff are Japanese. Great menu selections along with adult and non adult beverages. Get the takoyaki, okonomiyaki, some grilled skewers and the &quot;corn tempura&quot; if they are serving it up. Asahi draft(so it should actually be imported from Japan-not like the bottles that are brewed in North America) and Kurosawa Junmai - all will be good. Wish every city that I travel to had one of these.
